Emailing doesn't work. I have a gmail account as default and SnailTrail tells me he cannot find an default email to use.
It sounds like your Gmail account is not set up properly on your iphone. Snailtrail does not itself do the emailing and relies on you having an email account set up on your iphone - make sure you can send and receive emails.
I have 37 waypoints stored from a day's worth of field work today. When I send them in email, all the unannotated coordinates are sent (it appears--I haven't done a side-by-side comparison yet), but only about 12 are sent with annotations. Is there a limitation that I've exceeded? And is there a way to send all the coordinates and their annotation?
